Shortened Summer

For us, summer vacation officially starts tomorrow. Although Gabbie’s class ended early March, our summer vacation isn’t really a summer vacation per se. We enrolled her in swimming class that ran the entire month (or more!) and reading tutorial which lasted for six weeks. Swimming class was in the early morning and reading tutorial was scheduled at 11am to 12nn.

Last Friday hubby was confined to the hospital due to painful chest with a little difficulty in breathing. He had to undergo several blood and physical tests to rule out heart attack. He stayed in the hospital until Sunday and he was diagnosed with GERD or something related to acidity. Needless to say, the weekend that has just passed has been a busy one for us, me doing the driving to and fro the hospital to bring stuff and arrange everything and going home in between to nurse Rafa.

Today was Gabbie’s last day in swimming. First day of their school will be on June 6. We have tomorrow until Tuesday to relax.

Now I’m thinking of things to do to make our shortened summer vacation a little worthwhile.
